    Thanks Johnny,
sorry, I was in hollydays. As the Admin said upper (second answer) it’s a Dvd-rom version.I will sure do the next Dvd as an “all zone” one.I’m not the producer…..Slapology 2 will be more musical. This one is about slap technique above all.
    Best.
    Nicolas.

No, I don’t play it like that.
It’s a fast “light” slap.I mean I slap “Toum / tou-tou-toum” but don’t let the string “click” the fingerboard.I like this riff you can hear in any Willie Dixon’s songs or in Oscar Pettiford solo : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0m3QWnxOKA
Let’s see how Oscar played this “light-slap”, hope it helps you.

    Thanks again.
    Gauges are :
    -G : 0.095
    -D : 0.105
-A : 0.130 I have tried a 0.155 that is good for pizz but lose the note when slapped.
-E : 0.170 from FMI.But this string is really a 0.200 ! I use also an A Pirastro oliv’ detuned to A that works pretty good and that way got the same tension as Weedwackers.

    Thanks for the link,
I have tried to order a set but didn’t have a response.Anyway they seems to be “out of stock” in their w-site.
When did you order them ? can you call the guy who is making them ?

    Hi,
are you talking about the “Toum / tou-tou-toum” figure in D-up on G string ?
I don’t got “strum” in my dictionary ! what is it ?
At the 55th second I play a quadruple-slap that is explained in the interview.
    Please tell me more !
    Thanks.

That’s wright Jonas.I put a “longer” sound-post(1mn) in this bass and now get more tension, sustain and volume with weedwackers.I did a home-made “alcoholic” varnish and the sound changed again (to be better !).

    Hi Cougar,
I’m still working on this strings.I don’t know if I will be able to sell them someday because I don’t have enough time to “built” a firm for this.Anyway I noticed that weedwackers work good with some basses and don’t with others. It depends of the bass. With mine It works good (E string too !)but on friend’s bass it’s still “flubby”.I’m breaking my brain with this ! I’m just sure that a bass sounds or don’t.
    Cheers.
