    our band is taking a break for awhile because of new jobs but i’m going to try and make it to toronto when you guys play there!

    long gone to saskatchewan is a cool song

    i saw you guys play on tv a couple of years ago playing in some kind of small bar looking set

    been trying to find videos on youtube from that performance…..the Q performance reminded me of it a lot.

    i really liked watching it because one of my country friends was only able to get me listening to corb lund out of all the bands he tried getting me to like one summer so it was col to see it on TV….also i just started playing upright bass at the time so i was watching you play the whole time…hopefully i’ll get to see you guys in ontario some time!

    hey kurt!

    great to see more canadian slappers on this site….corb lund is pretty much the only cool country band i know of that’s been on TV. but i don’t really listen to country that much anyways..thanks for the advice on my wrist…got any good vids on youtube?

    what kind of bass and strings do you use?

    hey everybody!

    i’m not a powerball promoter or anything but i just gotta mention this again!

    i’ve been using it on my slap wrist for about a month now and my wrist is stronger and feeling better then ever right now!

    i still do stretches and use this powerball…i don’t really have to massage my wrist anymore becasue it doesn’t get sore

    watch this video

    and get a powerball!
    you’ll be able to slap for hours without any problems!

    (there i go sounding like a promoter!)

    by the way…what kind of strings do you use with your king bass?

    i just got a king with gut D&G with silver slap E&A…think i might change the silver slaps though….not liking them too much

    it’s good to see you on here!
    you’re the only other canadian that i know of on here!

    i play bass for the coffins from sudbury…our band opened up for the brains when johnny was in the band

    hopefully we’ll run into each other sometime!

    like the slappin on the new album!

    how do they sound?

    if you like playing pizz and slap i found inovation rockabilly strings are great for that….i haven’t tried many sets of strings but i do know they work great

    innovation rockabilly E&A with efrano gut D&G…good for pizz and slap

    HOLY SHIT!!!!

    5 surgeries!!

    wow!!!

    well that makes me feel better…..the world isn’t over if i have one surgery!

    i was so afraid of getting surgery done….but yeah man everyday and right before i play i do stretches and exercises with my wrists…and it seems to be helping….i also grab a hockey stick, hold it by the handle and stick my arm out, holding the stick so that my thumb is facing up, then i just bend my wrist, while holding the stick towards the ceiling….it’s a good workout….in and earlier post i made on here i mentioned that power ball….that should really help
