I’m still working on this strings.I don’t know if I will be able to sell them someday because I don’t have enough time to “built” a firm for this.Anyway I noticed that weedwackers work good with some basses and don’t with others. It depends of the bass. With mine It works good (E string too !)but on friend’s bass it’s still “flubby”.I’m breaking my brain with this ! I’m just sure that a bass sounds or don’t.

yes, this may be very tricky, especially for strings of very low tension like the weedwackers. The tension of a string always depends on the bass. If e.g. the string length is different, the tension is different, too. And even with the same tension, a string feels different with different string angles at the bridge.
That’s wright Jonas.I put a “longer” sound-post(1mn) in this bass and now get more tension, sustain and volume with weedwackers.I did a home-made “alcoholic” varnish and the sound changed again (to be better !).
the difference between Deluxe and Regular is that Deluxe is a “look like gut” string more again due to his twisted effect. This effect increases mid frequences a bit at my opinion.
Hey, how have you got Charlaz CD ? I didn’t know we are selling out of France, that’s great !
