Ray Campi's Interview!

We had an honour to interview one of rare players that kept tradition of slap bass alive in the 1970's - Ray Campi!

He was such an influence on younger generation of rockabilly cats in Great Britain and was definitely one of the reasons why slap bass came back to life in neo rockabilly scene of the early 1980's.

Beau Sample on tour with Modern Sounds

Slap bass player Beau Sample will be on tour with his band Modern Sounds and Deke Dickerson this month! They will start a tour in Douglas, MI on September 17th, go through Ohio, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Kentucky and end in St Louis, MO on the 28th. Be sure to check out this great slap bassist with two amazing bands!
 

Kevin Stewart on tour with Deke Dickerson

Our friend and AOSB member, Kevin Stewart will be touring USA with Deke Dickerson this August and September. The drummer for this tour gonna be Bobby Trimble (Big Sandy). Deke is well known to have the best musicians in his band and we know that Kevin is the right choice!

The tour starts in Colorado on August 20th and goes through Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota. Be sure to check out this amazing band!

Djordje Stijepovic on Pacific NW tour with Fishtank Ensemble!

Djordje Stijepovic will be on tour with his wild Gypsy band Fishtank Ensemble for the whole month of August. All dates are posted on www.fishtankensemble.com and Djordje's myspace page here. The tour starts in Anacordes, WA on August 5th. Come to see this band in Washington, Portland, Nevada and California!
